Howkins research centers on the neurobiology of peak performance — essentially what happens in the brain and body when humans are performing at their very best — with particular attention paid to the state of consciousness known as flow.
He and his team at the Flow Research Collective train individuals and organizations in peak performance across more than 130 countries, working with clients ranging from companies like Meta, Audi, Accenture, and Bain Capital, to institutions such as the United States Air Force and the San Francisco Police Department, as well as individuals including Navy SEALs, professional athletes, CEOs, and members of the general public.

Mein Weg
zur Kultur
Ich bin freie Kulturjournalistin, Producerin und Moderatorin und bewege mich am liebsten dort, wo Kunst auf Gesellschaft und Politik trifft. Ich arbeite für WDR und Deutschlandfunk, schreibe für Magazine, Theater und Kompanien und bin Teil von Jurys und Auswahlgremien. Journalismus ist für mich eine Praxis, die Haltung zeigt, Verantwortung übernimmt und Wissen teilt. Deshalb interessieren mich feministische und machtkritische Perspektiven und die Fragen hinter den Fragen:
Wer spricht? Wer wird gehört? Und unter welchen Bedingungen entsteht Kunst?
Meine Erfahrungen gebe ich in Festival-Blogs, Workshops und Mentoring an angehende Journalist*innen weiter.
ÜBER MICH
Audio ist mein Zuhause. Als Producerin bei WDR 3 Mosaik und als Redakteurin und Host verschiedener Podcasts, allen voran meines Herzensprojekts „Wozu das Theater?“, das ich drei Jahre lang konzipiert, redaktionell verantwortet und moderiert habe. Am Mikrofon habe ich mit Gäst*innen aus Kunst, Medien und Aktivismus darüber gesprochen, ob Theater wirklich so altmodisch und elitär ist, wie oft erzählt wird, oder doch aktuell, relevant und voller Glitzer?
Mein Weg in die Kultur begann früh und praktisch: Nach dem Abitur in Bremen arbeitete ich in Breslau (Wrocław) bei internationalen Musik-, Theater- und Literaturfestivals. Studiert habe ich Germanistik, Medienkultur- und Theaterwissenschaft in Köln, Rom und München. Neben meiner journalistischen Arbeit moderiere ich Veranstaltungen und arbeite mit Künstler*innen und Institutionen an Kommunikation, Konzepten und digitalen Formaten.
