Howkins research centers on the neurobiology of peak performance — essentially what happens in the brain and body when humans are performing at their very best — with particular attention paid to the state of consciousness known as flow.
He and his team at the Flow Research Collective train individuals and organizations in peak performance across more than 130 countries, working with clients ranging from companies like Meta, Audi, Accenture, and Bain Capital, to institutions such as the United States Air Force and the San Francisco Police Department, as well as individuals including Navy SEALs, professional athletes, CEOs, and members of the general public.

„Wozu das Theater“
Ist Theater wirklich so altmodisch, verstaubt und elitär, wie oft erzählt wird, oder doch aktuell, relevant und sexy? Was ist dran an den Vorurteilen und wozu brauchen wir das Theater, wenn wir mit Netflix und Co. doch bestens versorgt sind? Drei Jahre lang habe ich darüber mit Menschen gesprochen, die man nicht unbedingt mit Theater verbindet. Im November 2025 ist der Podcast zu Ende gegangen, aber ihr könnt weiterhin jederzeit reinhören.

Mehr spielen, mehr Partnerschaften, mehr Nachhaltigkeit – klingt sinnvoll. Doch was heißt das konkret? In diesem Panel habe ich mit Akteur*innen aus Kunst, Förderung und Nachhaltigkeitsmanagement darüber gesprochen, wie sich die Handabdrücke freier Künstlerinnen durch gezielte Förderung stärken lassen.

Im Februar 2023 brachte das Stadt: Kollektiv seine „Odyssee“ am Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus zur Premiere. Ich habe das ukrainisch-deutsche Künstler*innen-Team von der ersten Idee bis zur Premiere begleitet, das Ergebnis könnt ihr in dieser dreiteiligen Podcast-Serie hören.
